SOME HOLIDAY RENDITIONS FOR THE MOUNTAIN

To the tune of Jingle Bells:

Blast hills to smithereens

‘cuz corporate wind is “green”.  Don’t question or discuss

they’re doing this for us.

Our homes they will sell out,

and profit well, no doubt.

Just wash it “green”,

our conscience clean!

Enable the Machine!

Oh! Turbine Spin

a corporate win!

Don’t you dare think twice.

Buy for Yule

still burning fuel, while nature pays the price.

Technology will save the day

think nukes, napalm, and cars!

Once progress has destroyed the Earth

then we can move to Mars!

Composed by Suzanna

I thought we needed some seasonal fare:

To the tune of “The First Noel”:

The ridgelines of Lowell, the angels did say

Must be protected from destruction without delay!

And from above, there shone a bright light

And the people all around understood that they’re right!

Lowell, Lowell, Lowell, Lowell!

Save the Mountains is the message that all tongues must tell…

Don

AND LITTLE BIT OF GOOD NEWS !

  1. Ted Vogt says:

If there are really no more industrial wind projects on Vermont ridges, as the article quoting Elizabeth Miller suggests, you folks have, through your tenacity and courage, accomplished something extraordinary. Thank you!

  2. Mike Boudreaux says:

Well there are people that have donated time, money and a will to never stop. Lowell will be the example for the failure of wind. I know once the towers are up the real solid black and white truth will be made public. The actual cost of the actual power generated will be made public. Our tax dollars will be lining the pockets of Gaz Metro. The Lowell voters had no idea their vote would lead to such destruction and ruination.

Lowell will be the sacraficial lamb that will stop these projects for the rest of the state. So Sad it had to come to this….

  3. Catherine M Sargent says:

Your thought that Commissioner Miller’s comments on big wind were good news are misplaced. She is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. The DPS and PSB are protecting ‘public good’. That public is NOT you and I (and I learned this the hard way, fighting East Mountain and Sheffield). The PUBLIC is the State of Vermont and its administration with their agendas supported by special interests. ~cms

  4. Kevin McGrath says:

Yes Cath you got it dead center.

Liz Miller, the DPS,PSB and who will ever forget the infamous ANR are all Shumlin puppets.

King Shumlin can pull the strings at any time or collect their resignations.
